Newsrooms, journalists, and communication teams are actually able to find real-time global stories, opportunities, and trends inside AI platforms via the Alchemiq News Discovery MCP (Model Context Protocol). Designed by Alchemiq, the news discovery platform, users can access quick news discovery directly in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.
AI platforms usually are not generally designed to discover recent or developing news stories. Instead, AI assistants, corresponding to ChatGPT, are excellent at answering queries, summarising insights, and generating content based on accessible information. Alchemiq goals to bridge this gap, enhancing AI discovery.
Alchemiq helps users spot what’s next before it becomes the news
Alchemiq’s New Discovery MCP connects AI platforms with its real-time news intelligence. Users can ask AI an easy query in natural language to discover emerging news stories, signals, and trends worldwide, all across multiple languages and countries. Many insights corresponding to these have been difficult to discover with traditional monitoring tools, engines like google, and standalone LLMs, often lacking the power to analyse global sources and surface early signals of change constantly.
This latest integration is ready to transform how communication teams discover breaking stories before they grow to be mainstream. From media opportunities to industry developments, news teams can find story angles which can be relevant to certain brands and clients, strengthening overall media strategies.
Orr Hirschauge, co-founder and Co-CEO of Alchemiq, commented, “Today’s AI tools help people create, edit, and summarise content, but discovering the stories that matter stays a challenge. That’s what drove Alchemiq to pioneer a real-time News Intelligence Layer for AI-native workflows.”
Publishers struggle to predict which stories will take off
Newsifier data revealed only a small percentage of articles generate a disproportionately great amount of traffic, with the highest-performing 1% of publisher articles making up 17.8% of publisher traffic. Meanwhile, the highest 5% account for 41.5%.
A challenge facing publishers has been the power to consistently predict what stories will grow to be high performers before investing time and resources into their production. By finding such opportunities early, including trending stories and emerging topics, publishers can gain a competitive advantage.
“Alchemiq helps systematically discover more of the stories that materially drive audience growth,” explains Adi Barill, co-founder and Co-CEO of Alchemiq. “For journalists, it helps uncover stories that can resonate with their audiences before they grow to be widely covered. For communications teams, it constantly surfaces timely story opportunities and emerging conversations, making it easier to create relevant content and take part in the news cycle while it’s gaining momentum.”
According to Alchemiq, developers, platform operators, enterprise customers, and vendors may also produce monitoring systems, newsroom tools, and research agents on its infrastructure. General availability is yet to be announced with only registered users currently having access to the Alchemiq News Discovery MCP beta version.
